Day 2 of dressage is complete with William Fox-Pitt and Chilli Morning maintaing their place atop the leaderboard with a penalty score of 37 in an amazing post-injury comeback story.

Christopher Burton of Australia maintains his hold on second place while Mathieu Lemoine and Ingrid Klimke push defending gold medalist Michael Jung from 3rd to 5th place.

Though Team Germany holds the lead, Team France is nipping close at their heels, just .20 points from the gold medal position.

Dressage didn’t go as planned for the United States, though Phillip Dutton and Mighty Nice turned in a lovely ride to score just 43.6 penalties which would bump the U.S. into a 6th place tie with New Zealand and land Dutton in 15th place individually.

Now time for the fun stuff! Cross country will be aired live in the U.S. on USA network starting at 9:00am eastern time tomorrow.
